Listen to a Podcast

Today is Day 26 of my Happiness Hacks series.

Listen to a PodcastToday I found out that my husband has been placed on a jury for a long case, possibly until January. This was not good news for me and produced some decidedly unhappy emotions.

Fortunately, this morning I took my dog out for a run and listened to an inspirational podcast (before I heard the news). Most days I get straight to work, but today was a good day to get myself in a positive frame of mind.

I’ve been really enjoying podcasts, both listening to them and planning and recording my own. Podcasts are definitely a happiness hack for me!

My current favorite podcasts include:

Revelation Wellness
Happier with Gretchen Rubin
This is Your Life with Michael Hyatt
The TED-X Radio Hour
The Moth
AmWriting with Jess & KJ

Sunshine

I'm blessed to have five great kids (ages 13-23) call me “Mom.” As a summer camp director for the past 30 years, I've also had the privilege of working with thousands of kids, college-age counselors, and parents. I follow the latest research and trends on parenting, education, and children’s development and love to share what I learn!

  1. Hi! I am loving this series of hacks. Happier & Ted-x radio hour are two of my favorite podcasts too. The Happy Hour (with Jamie Ivey) and the Christ & Pop Culture podcasts are two others I find myself listening to often.
