Quick Get-Away

Today is Day 29 of my Happiness Hacks series.

Quick Get-AwayFaced with an open Saturday (a miracle of sorts for our family), we decided at the last minute (as in, yesterday) to make a quick get-away trip to our local mountains.

When we’re home, we tend to keep ourselves constantly busy with work and chores. There’s always something to get done that we haven’t had time to do during the week. But now that we’re up in the mountains with a few board games, logs for the fire, more books than I’ll have time to read, and nothing on the schedule except for putting steaks on the barbecue later, I’ve decided that getting away was a good thing to do this weekend and was most definitely a happiness hack.

I follow the latest research and trends on parenting, education, and children’s development and love to share what I learn!
